Annie Leibovitz At Work

Just a couple of days ago I bought a copy of Annie Leibovitz’s new book, At Work, where she discusses her history and her work ethic, and why she makes the choices that she makes to produce the images she has. I’m only half way through so far, and the bits I’ve read has been interesting if not exactly life changing, but I have a feeling I haven’t really got to the guts of the book yet. She writes very plainly, and I don’t mean that in a bad way, and it gives the impression that she is there with you, maybe over dinner, and she is just reminiscing on her life and career, which I think was kind of the point with this book. She is personable and funny, and the stories she tells of Mick Jagger and Hunter S. Thompson and others make it as enjoyable a read for photographers as those who are not.

Anyway, here’s a couple of my favourite behind-the-scenes videos of Annie Leibovitz at work.
